Starting a Blog

The first step of starting a blog is to figure out what you want to blog about. There are millions of bloggers on the internet already. It is important before you start blogging to figure out how your blog is going to be different than the rest. Don't just blog about anything, blog about a topic you are passionate about and have experience with.

After you decide what your topic is going to be for you blog, it's time to pick a name. It is important to think of a name that will stick out, but will be easy for others to find you.

You must decide if you are going to host your own blog or have a free blogging service host it for you. There are pros and cons to both. You do not get your own domain when you choose a free service. If your blog becomes a success and you decide to purchase your own domain, there is no way to take your followers with you because you have no control of your blog.

Be patient and understand building a blog is a learning experience. You may make mistakes along the way, but what is important is if you learn from them and gain valuable experience.
